About the role

Accounts Payable Specialist Courtesy Automotive Group is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our dealership accounting team. This position is responsible for processing invoices, reconciling vendor statements, and ensuring timely and accurate payment of dealership expenses. Accounts Payable experience is required. Automotive dealership accounting experience is strongly preferred.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Process high-volume vendor invoices accurately and efficiently. Match invoices with purchase orders and supporting documentation. Obtain proper approvals and coding for payment processing. Prepare checks, ACH payments, and weekly payment runs. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly. Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payments and account balances. Maintain organized and accurate accounts payable records. Monitor outstanding invoices to ensure timely payment. Assist with month-end closing activities and account reconciliations. Work closely with department managers to resolve invoice issues and obtain approvals. Follow company accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. Perform other accounting and accounts payable duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of Accounts Payable experience required.
  • Automotive dealership accounting experience preferred.
  • Experience with CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, or similar dealership software is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently.
