Administrative Assistant/Receptionist, Part Time 12-Month - Westside District Office24 hours per weekDepartment: Secretarial/ClericalReports To: Designated SupervisorEssential Qualifications:High school diplomaMinimum 3 years experience working in a professional office setting.Strong communication skills with experience in managing challenging phone callsStrong computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Able to work as a team with students, families, staff, faculty and administrators.Able to operate personal computer, laptop computer, peripheral computer equipment, photocopier, fax machine, and other office equipment with a high degree of skill.Highly motivated with strong organizational skills; able to manage multiple concurrent priorities.Self-starter; able to work independently.Strong communication skills; both written and oral.Preferred Qualifications:Prior experience directly related to essential job functions listed below.Essential Job Functions:Perform receptionist duties on a specified schedule.Provide support to all building staff.Answer District phone, transfer calls, take messages as appropriate, and respond to inquiries by staff, parents, or patrons of the district.Respond to walk-ins by staff, parents, vendors or patrons of the District.Understand the role and process of our Welcome Center.Work positively and successfully in a team environment.File and sort paperwork.Type and/or draft letters of correspondence.Schedule and organize meetings or events, including coordination and set-up of needed supplies.Good attendanceOther Job Functions:Maintain confidentialityAttend meetings and training as directed.Present and communicate in a professional manner.Other duties as assigned by supervisor.Work Environment:Typical office environment with usual office machines. Lifting of office supplies and other items on occasion (up to 25 lbs unassisted)Required to consistently demonstrate adherence to all types of security requirements and accepted practices.Westside Community Schools is an EEO employer.
