About the role

Virtual AssistantThe client is a focused nonprofit organization supporting community-led development through grants, technical assistance, and strategic investments. The organization works with Caribbean communities, educators, and governments to address climate resilience, education, governance, and regional development priorities. • Be reasonably responsive during normal business hours and available for scheduled meetings and calls. • Maintain sufficient flexibility to accommodate meetings across U.S. and Caribbean time zones. • Proactively manage assigned tasks and communicate clearly regarding timelines, priorities, and any issues requiring attention. • Be available for occasional time-sensitive requests or additional support when project demands require it, with reasonable notice wherever possible. • Participate in a brief regular check-in to review priorities, upcoming deadlines, meetings, and outstanding actions. • Work independently and take ownership of keeping assigned workstreams organized and moving forward. • Reliable: Consistent day to day, and flags problems early. • Responsive: Replies within the agreed window and keeps the client updated. • Strong quality of work: Accurate, polished, and needs minimal rework. • Completion of agreed deliverables: Tasks are done on time, with any delays flagged in advance. • Experience in education sector or development work • Knowledge of Caribbean geography, logistics, or international development • Comfort with government/institutional stakeholdersPlease only apply for this role if you have the following home office requirements: Perfectly working headset and webcamStable internet connection of at least 25 Mbps ~ 50 MbpsUp to date computer system with a minimum of Windows 10 or later and macOS Monterey (12.0) or laterQuiet room with no distractions or background noises A backup plan if the power goes out or if your internet connection becomes unstable during your shift
