About the role
Powder Coater Helper - 2nd ShiftPrepares surfaces of machines and manufactured products to be powdercoated by performing the following duties in reasonable and productive time frames: Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Must be familiar with the storage, care, handling, and use of breathing equipment. Cleans grease and dirt from product. Cleans application equipment. Removes rust from metal with acid, wire brush, or steel wool. Hangs materials to trolley into booth for coating. Labels finished materials with correct part numbers, for delivery to stock. Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must complete and pass respiratory program prior to performing tasks related to mixing or applying chemicals or powder. The employee must be able to maintain a passing status in this program.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules. Ability to read and understand English instructions. Ability to speak effectively with employees of organization. Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers & common fractions.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
