About the role
- Present and sell products to prospective and existing customers across the waste, recycling, and scrap markets
- Generate new leads through cold calling, networking, and social selling, and convert them into customers
- Research the market to identify prospects, trends, and new business opportunities
- Build and maintain customer relationships through responsive service and support
- Negotiate contracts and close deals to meet or exceed sales quotas
- Record all sales activity and customer interactions in the CRMCoordinate delivery dates with logistics and keep customers informed
- Track regional market trends, competitor activity, and pricing, and report insights to leadership
- Work with production, engineering, and logistics teams to support on-time delivery and product quality
- 50% TravelProven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas, ideally in the waste industry or capital equipment sales
- Solid understanding of the sales process and customer relationship management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software
- Ability to serve as the primary point of contact for regional customers
- Ability to provide post-sale support and relay product feedback
- Business or college education, or equivalent sales experience
- Basic accounting or bookkeeping skills
