About the role
Join Our Team as a Manual Machinist at Empower Manufacturing! The Manual Machinist is responsible for producing precision parts that meet customer specifications using manual lathes, rise and fall mills, and straightening equipment. This role is not simply responsible for running a machine it is responsible for owning the quality and accuracy of every part that leaves the station. The ideal candidate is a hands-on machinist who takes pride in precision work, communicates openly with Team Leads and Quality, and is willing to dig into a problem rather than pass it along including setting up jobs, making adjustments on the fly, reworking parts, and fixing production issues as they're found before they become bigger problems downstream. Success in this role requires attention to detail, patience, curiosity, and the ability to read a print and turn it into a finished part that meets tolerance every time. Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
