The successful candidate will be a dynamic and influential veterinary medical leader, responsible for overseeing and directing clinical quality, medical excellence, team-based care, and clinical productivity in partnership with the Divisional Vice President of Operations. This role involves leading and developing group and local hospital medical directors, ensuring the creation of a talent pipeline for medical leadership, and maintaining high standards of patient safety. The ideal candidate will have a passion for elevating the standard of care, developing and coaching medical leaders, and using critical thinking and problem-solving skills to optimize clinical teams while sustaining business performance. Candidates for the Divisional Vice President of Medicine position at the company should have a Bachelor's Degree, DVM, and successful completion of a 1-year rotating internship, with at least 10 years of clinical practice as an emergency or board-certified specialty clinician. A minimum of 5 years in a leadership role with oversight of multiple hospitals and/or revenues exceeding $100MM is required. The role demands a leader with a strong business acumen, the ability to make sound decisions, and a proven track record in problem-solving. The DVPM will be expected to interact with all levels of the organization, contribute to the development of practice guidelines, and maintain current knowledge of the regional veterinary services market.
