Order Entry SpecialistSWD Inc. opened for business in March 1980 with three employees in a 9,000 sq. ft. leased facility and began black oxiding, cleaning, and pickling operations with used equipment. In late 1980, the company began passivating stainless steel and in 1981 purchased Fastener Sorting Corporation. Today, a recognized leader in the Metal Finishing and Fastener Sorting fields, SWD Inc. has over 250 employees and runs three shifts per day in its 250,000 sq. ft. facility just west of Chicago in Addison, Illinois.
Note: SWD is a Drug-Free workplace. All job offers are contingent on successful completion of a Background Check, Drug Screen, and Pre-Employment Physical. We are seeking a full-time Order Entry Specialist available Monday through Friday day shift hours. This position starts at $18.00 per hour depending on experience with reviews and potential increases at 60 days, 6 months, and 12 months.
Responsibilities/Duties:
  • Responsible for interpreting and entering all incoming purchase orders into the computer system
  • Generate and distribute shop orders
  • File original purchase orders
  • Contact customer for weight or process differences
  • Issue and distribute hot list at the end of each day
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Practice safe work habits, following outlined policies and procedure.
  • Reviewing and comprehending Shop OrdersBe aware of SWD Inc. Company's policy and procedures, including the quality system as defined by ISO-9001, ISO-14001, and ISO-17025 and outlined in the SWD Inc.'s quality, environmental and laboratory systems policy, and procedure manuals
Qualifications:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • At least 2 years of customer service or office experience
  • Manufacturing experience is a plus
  • Excellent reading and writing skills in English, in addition to basic math skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently to meet deadlines
  • Capability to identify and resolve issues through analytical thinking
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related softwareSWD Benefits:
