About the role

Phlebotomy Technician Responsible for registering all patients appropriately, obtaining blood and other specimens for the purpose of laboratory analysis. Assisting in performing hematology, urinalysis and related techniques which they are authorized and trained to do based on guidelines set forth in the policy and procedure manual for interpretation by or at the request of a licensed practitioner.
Qualifications: Educational and/or Professional Qualifications: High school diploma or GED preferred. Graduate of a Phlebotomy program preferred. Licensure, Certification, Registration, etc.: Licensed as a Laboratory Assistant through the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners or eligible for licensure is required. Previous Experience: One year of current phlebotomy experience preferred. Other Special Training/Skills: Phlebotomy certification preferred. Must possess good interpersonal skills.
