About the role

Equipment Operator Full performance level in the equipment operation occupation requiring considerable knowledge of multi-unit vehicles and waste disposal equipment; under direction, operates vehicles such as solid waste tractor/tipper-trailer. Summary of
Job Duties: Drives a highway tractor with tipper-trailer from transfer station to landfill or other destination; transports with tractor/dump-trailer. Performs minor repairs and adjustments to equipment; checks and services (i.e., preventative maintenance) equipment; greases and oils machinery; complete check-off list for equipment conditional completes maintenance records. May serve as a backup to Equipment Operator I if needed and qualified.(Performs Related Duties as Required)
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements: Equivalent to a high school diploma and two (2) years of equipment operation of listed above; OR alternative, equivalent evidence of the minimum class requirements. Driving Requirement: Must maintain a current, valid, State of Ohio Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements, and an acceptable driving record. Supplemental Information Training and Development: Must pass Department of Transportation physical exam. Must maintain licensure. Probationary Period: 120 days
