Salary: 70K-90KWe are seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to support a Payroll Manager with day-to-day payroll operations for a 50-state, multi-state workforce. This is a detail-oriented role requiring strong organization, accuracy, follow-through, and the ability to manage a high volume of payroll-related activity across multiple jurisdictions.
Responsibilities: Support payroll processing and maintain employee payroll records and changes for a 50-state workforce Review payroll data, timekeeping information, deductions, and adjustments for accuracy Handle employee payroll questions and research discrepancies Administer unemployment claims, wage garnishments, child support orders, tax levies, and other required deductions across multiple states Prepare payroll reports, spreadsheets, reconciliations, and documentation Partner with HR and other internal teams to resolve payroll issues Assist with audits, payroll verifications, final pay, off-cycle payments, and special projects Maintain confidentiality of employee compensation and personal information
Qualifications: 3–5+ years of hands-on payroll experience supporting a 50-state/multi-state workforce Strong understanding of multi-state payroll requirements and processes Experience with unemployment claims, wage garnishments, and child support orders is required Experience with a payroll system; ADP Workforce Now strongly preferred Strong Excel skills and experience working with payroll reports and employee data Knowledge of payroll processes, deadlines, timekeeping, and multi-state payroll compliance Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Associate's or bachelor's degree preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered
