School Chaplain Responsibilities:
Develop a meaningful and inclusive Chapel program for the Lower, Middle, and Upper Schools. Collaborate with school administration to facilitate pastoral care and counseling for community members as needed. Plan and oversee major school worship services and liturgical events. Support school events with opening prayers and pastoral presence as requested. Promote and encourage the spiritual well-being of the community. Oversee school's community service and outreach programs. Lead bible study for lower, middle, and upper school students and families. Oversee annual Chaplaincy budget ensuring strategic allocation of resources. Teach classes as assigned by the Head of School and Division Heads.
School Chaplain Requirements:
Master's degree in Divinity, Religious Studies, or related field required. Previous experience designing and leading worship services. Previous ministry experience preferred. No teaching license or credential is required. Strong interpersonal as well as written and verbal communication skills. Organized, dependable, and eager to contribute to the school community. Willingness to assist with school community activities. Additional Desired Qualities: Must be an ordained Episcopal clergy or a clergy person from another jurisdiction willing to become a member of the Episcopal Diocese of Central Florida. Previous independent school experience preferred, but not required.
