SUMMARY: The Resource Family Recruiter will obtain Children's Alliance certification as a PS-MAPP leader. The Resource Family Recruiter will recruit individuals and/or families who may be interested in providing foster care services to children who may be in need.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Conduct recruitment activities for Native American families to serve as a resource families for Native children in the foster care system. Resource families may provide relative placements, guardianship placements, foster care homes, adoptive placements, and a range of non-placement supports for children. Obtain Children Alliance certification as a PS-MAPP leader. Develop and conduct additional training opportunities for resource families, according to need. Recruit and support Native American families to serve as resource families for Native American children in your service area. Assigned other duties as needed. SKILLS/ABILITIES Working knowledge of CFS and community resources. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, diagnostic and assessment skills in order to recruit, train, license and support Native American families to serve as a resource. Ability to use computer in order to maintain project data. Excellent time management and organizational skills to develop and conduct training opportunities for resource families.
QUALIFICATIONS: AA degree in social work and a minimum of two (2) Child Welfare experience preferred. Must be able to pass Nebraska Child Abuse/Neglect Central Registry and Nebraska Adult Protection Service Central Registry. Must have a valid driver's license. Must have reliable transportation and insurance on vehicle.
