Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Data Governance Consultant to design and implement a comprehensive enterprise-wide data governance framework for a leading insurance organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in defining governance operating models, policies, standards, and controls while ensuring regulatory compliance and enabling effective data management across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Stakeholder Analysis and mapping
  • Executive Alignment
  • Recommend controls around sensitive and confidential insurance data.
  • Get involved in interviews and analysis
  • Review and recommend changes (customize) to Data Governance framework
  • Review and amend enterprise policies for Data ownership and accountability
  • Review and recommend changes to data governance structure, councils, RACI matrix
  • Create Communications Planning
  • Create Change Management Strategy & DesignCreate Training Strategy & DesignCome up with Adoption Framework
  • Review Governance Artifacts
  • Ensure Client Success and provide Strategic Advisory
  • Define governance effectiveness metrics.
  • Develop governance scorecard and adoption measurements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Management, Business, or a related field.14+ years of experience in Data Governance consulting or Enterprise Data Management.
  • Strong P&C (Property & Casualty) Insurance domain experience, with a good understanding of insurance data, processes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong experience designing and implementing enterprise Data Governance frameworks and operating models.
  • Deep understanding of:
  • DAMA-DMBOK frameworkCDMC (Cloud Data Management Capabilities)
  • Enterprise Data Governance best practices
  • Data Risk Management
  • Regulatory Compliance
  • Hands-on experience developing enterprise governance policies, standards, and governance procedures.
  • Experience defining governance roles, responsibilities, and organizational operating models.
  • Strong knowledge of data lifecycle management, data ownership, metadata governance, and governance controls.
  • Experience establishing governance metrics, scorecards, KPIs, and adoption measurement frameworks.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation, communication, and consulting skills.
