Our team is driven by innovation, integrity, and a commitment to excellence. We're looking for a Senior Estimator who shares our passion for precision, collaboration, and leadership. As a Senior Estimator, you will lead the preconstruction and estimating efforts for a variety of projects across Connecticut. You'll be responsible for analyzing plans, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates. This is a high-impact role!
Key Responsibilities: Prepare detailed cost estimates (conceptual, bid, and negotiated).Lead bid process from pre-bid through post-bid scope reviews and contract award. Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate and competitive estimates. Manage and maintain subcontractor/vendor relationships and solicit competitive bids. Collaborate with architects, engineers, clients, and internal teams. Evaluate subcontractor and vendor bid proposals. Participate in the presentation of a bid and/or estimate to the client when required. Provide a detailed, informed hand-off of the estimate for awarded projects to Project Management.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree, preferably in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Mathematics, or Construction Science. Minimum 10 years of construction industry experience with the majority in an estimating function. Strong understanding of local construction market, codes, and costs in Connecticut. Proficient in estimating software (e.g., PlanSwift, Bluebeam, Procore, or similar) and MS Office. Exceptional analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
