Role Location: 100% Remote (US-based candidates only) The Company Our client is a US-based pharmaceutical organization undertaking a multi-year global transformation to modernize its core business systems on SAP S/4HANA. The programme spans finance, supply chain, manufacturing and quality processes, and will shape how the business operates for years to come. They're looking for an experienced SAP Programme Manager to lead this transformation from the front — initially engaged on a 12-month contract with strong potential to extend across the life of the programme.
Role and Responsibilities:
Own end-to-end delivery of the S/4HANA transformation programme, from planning and mobilization through go-live and hypercare.
Manage a multi-workstream programme spanning finance, supply chain, manufacturing and quality processes.
Build and maintain the programme roadmap, governance structure, RAID log and reporting cadence for senior stakeholders and steering committees.
Manage relationships with internal IT and business process owners, ensuring alignment across all delivery streams.
Oversee budget, resourcing and vendor management across the programme lifecycle.
Identify and mitigate delivery risks associated with a regulated pharma environment.
Drive change management and business readiness activities for smooth adoption across the organization.
Provide regular progress reporting and escalation management to executive sponsors.
Job Requirements:
Proven experience as a Programme/Project Manager leading large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation programmes.
Experience managing multi-year, multi-workstream ERP programmes from mobilization through go-live.
Strong background in SAP delivery methodology (Activate or similar), governance and senior/executive stakeholder management.
Excellent communication skills, comfortable presenting to C-level stakeholders.
Must be based in the US and able to work US business hours.
Nice To Have:
Experience within pharmaceutical, life sciences or other regulated manufacturing environments.
PMP, PRINCE2, or SAP Activate certification.
Experience with S/4HANA greenfield or brownfield conversions specifically.
