The Gund Company: Take Care of Each Other, Take Care of the Customer and Take Care of the Business Job Summary CNC Set-Up Operator II Implement the Production Fulfillment Process for the fabrication of parts according to work order and customer requirements. Ensures machinery is set up, works properly, and conforms with company standards. Set up, adjust, and identify programming, and operate numerically controlled machine tools. Operators may run more than one machine simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities: CNC Set-Up Operator II Operates multiple types of fabrication equipment and tools using CNC machining centers to manufacture a variety of custom parts. Adjusts G & M codes at HAAS machines via Master Cam. Follows written instructions and interpret basic to intermediate blueprint specifications. Checks parts for conformance to customer specifications. Maintains count and performs packaging duties as required. Participates in cross training activities to become knowledgeable of equipment/process within the department.
Requirements: 2 years of experience, or equivalent A High School Diploma or GED with prior hands on, vocational or job-related course work/training, or any similar combination of education and experience is required. Prior experience in a manufacturing industry is preferred Work Environment CNC Set-Up Operator II This role is performed in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, fumes, and chemicals. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required. The position may involve repetitive tasks and manual labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods of time.
