Location: Mechanicsville, VA (Remote)

Job Overview:
Seeking for a SQL Server / Cloud DBA. Administer and support SQL Server and cloud databases, with additional help desk and application support responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
Monitor databases to ensure uptime and availability.
Troubleshoot application/database issues related to connectivity, access, and security.
Tune long-running SQL queries.
Review and refine database tasks and processes.
Use O/S scripting utilities for database maintenance and support.
Perform SQL Server installations with failover clustering.
Support and administer SQL Server databases.
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server database management.
- At least 1 year of experience with SQL Server tuning.
- Experience with SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS is desired.
- Strong skills in coding and debugging Transact SQL.Expertise in installing, upgrading, patching, and migrating SQL Server databases.
- Experience with DB administration on Azure Cloud, Snowflake, and/or Databricks is desired.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or equivalent experience.
- Desired Technologies:
- SQL Server 2019 Cloud databases (Azure, Snowflake, and/or Databricks)
