School-Based Personal Care Assistant (PCA)
Location: West Grove, PA through the Chester County Intermediate Unit (CCIU)
Schedule: Full-time, 10-month position. M-F school day hours. Hourly position; you are only paid for the hours that you work Caseload: K-12, Autistic Support, Multiple Disabilities, and Life Skills classrooms
Additional Details: PCAs will provide services during the school calendar year and will follow the school calendar for days off, holidays, etc. Summers are off; ESY may be available but is not guaranteed. What you'll do as a PCA.Our PCAs are vital members of the school team. They work to deliver high-quality services to a variety of students grades K-12. Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Provide individualized support to a student based on their educational and behavioral needs. Assist with classroom activities, transitions, and engagement in learning. Support with behavior management strategies as directed by the teacher or behavioral team. Help with daily living tasks such as mobility, toileting, feeding, and communication as needed. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment. Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and school staff to support the student's IEP goals. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to school policies and procedures. Qualifications: Must have a high school diploma or higher is requiredA minimum of 6 months recent experience working with children in a school or daycare setting is required Must be comfortable using a computer Must be able to complete clinical documentation to school district standards Current clearances (within 6 months)Ready to take the next step in your career?
