About the role

About the Company: A single-family office in New York City is seeking an exceptionally bright and dependable finance and operations generalist to join their in-house team.
About the Role: The individual in this role will support the CFO and work alongside other key team members to comprehensively address the financial needs of the family office and its associated entities.
Responsibilities: Daily accounting operations including accounts payable processing, general ledger management, and preparation of bank reconciliations Creating and maintaining financial records and documentation Monitoring cash balances for various accounts and entities, generating and updating projections, and liaising with banks to ensure that liquidity needs are met Leveraging and optimizing technology and software systems Assisting with financial reporting matters Coordinating with other in-house teams, including legal and tax, on financial and operational initiatives Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards
Qualifications: Outstanding problem-solving and communication skills are required, along with fluency with Excel. An efficient, meticulous approach and a no-task-too-small mentality are also important. The individual should be process-oriented, inquisitive, and proactive, and they must handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. A CPA license and/or prior family office experience is a plus.
