Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Engineer multiple retail fixtures simultaneously, including tables, walls, displays, and other furniture elements, utilizing an ODM development model.
Guide external vendors through the design and development process to achieve program objectives.
Partner with cross-functional teams to refine fixture aesthetics, customer experience, functionality, and overall design intent.
Validate designs for mass production through manufacturing data, reliability testing, stress analysis, failure analysis, and tolerance studies.
Develop manufacturing processes and tooling concepts with external vendors.
Participate in brainstorming sessions, design reviews, and collaborative problem-solving activities.
Present technical solutions and design recommendations to stakeholders at various organizational levels.
Travel domestically and internationally to vendor and installation sites to support implementation and investigate field issues.
Requirements
7+ years of relevant engineering experience.
Strong understanding of solid mechanics and material properties.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Self-motivated with strong attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
Willingness to travel up to 15% domestically and internationally.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with metal manufacturing methodologies.
Experience performing Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
Experience with Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA).
Experience conducting root cause investigations and corrective action activities.
Background supporting product design through manufacturing and production ramp.
Experience in analytical engineering environments outside traditional retail or furniture industries is welcomed.
