About the role

Job Description: An Aerospace Company in the Grand Rapids area is looking for a Sr Cloud Platform Engineer to join a 10-person Agile team developing an air traffic management SaaS solution that will be supporting safety-critical activities. This person will help mature an advanced application with limited customer access into a robust and scalable production service. The 2027 team focus is approximately 70% productionization, including planned DO-278 assurance level 4 (AL4) work. This person will primarily implement cloud/platform improvements while supporting remaining application and data-processing needs. The expected outcome is a tested, repeatably deployable platform that meets agreed reliability, scalability, security, and recovery criteria. Actionable monitoring and runbooks; review-ready assurance evidence; and effective handover to the core team.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Experienced in taking cloud-native SaaS from pilot to production and supporting high-availability services (we are looking for a senior hands-on implementor, not solely an architect or advisor)
  • Azure, Kubernetes/AKS, containers, Linux, and troubleshooting across applications, networks, compute, and storage experience
  • Practical infrastructure-as-code (ex. Terraform/Bicep), CI/CD, observability, automated testing, and software development/scripting skills
  • Experience with Cloud security and distributed data-processing; documentation, clear communication, and effective collaboration in a small cross-functional Agile team

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
