About the role
To support a growing digital health initiative, the full-time Senior Director of Health Economics will manage the measurement of clinical outcomes, translate them into economic value, and defend methodologies to payers in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
Own the measurement of clinical outcomes across client member populations, including weight loss and HEDIS measures
Develop and represent Foodsmart's ROI methodology to payers and external firms, ensuring rigorous defense of the approach
Shape value-based care strategies by identifying target populations and performance commitments
Required qualifications
Background in health economics, actuarial science, or a related quantitative field with proven experience in healthcare cost and value analysis
Hands-on experience with healthcare claims data and familiarity with HEDIS and chronic condition measures
Demonstrated ability to present and defend ROI methodologies to payers and technical audiences
Experience in a telehealth or digital health company, or foundational experience on the payer or consulting side
Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, R, or Python
