About the role

The Department of Clinical Laboratories at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time Lead Technologist, TH Clinical Lab Technologist 2, Chemistry & Immunology. The successful candidate will: Perform clinical laboratory procedures and examinations and any other tests or procedures conducted by the Chemistry and Hematology Laboratories. Function as the Lead Technologist. Adhere to departmental, hospital, and government regulations. Train personnel in technical methodologies and interpretation of results. Maintain laboratory inventory and statistics. Assign appropriate staff to assure a smooth workflow. Assist in coordinating administrative operations for the laboratory. Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree or equivalent in Medical Technology, Physical, or Biological Science. New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist Licensure.
Preferred Qualifications: ASCP certification. Full time
