About the role

Job Description: Senior Manager Data Analyst
Employment Type: Freelance
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Manager Data Analyst to lead complex digital analytics implementation initiatives for enterprise retail environments. This freelance role combines strategic measurement leadership with hands‐on technical delivery across web, mobile, customer data, and marketing technology platforms. The ideal consultant will partner with business and technical stakeholders to define scalable data‐collection standards, improve customer journey visibility, and turn digital behavior into trusted, actionable insight. This role requires deep experience with Adobe Experience Platform and the ability to guide implementation teams from solution design through quality assurance and release.
What You'll Do: Lead digital measurement, data-collection, and analytics implementation workstreams across complex web and mobile ecosystems. Develop measurement frameworks that connect business objectives, customer journeys, events, identities, and reporting requirements. Own Adobe Experience Platform implementation activities, including schemas, datasets, identity resolution, data ingestion, and activation readiness. Guide end-to-end Customer Journey Analytics implementations, including solution design, configuration, validation, reporting enablement, and post-launch support. Partner with product, engineering, marketing, and analytics teams to define scalable event-driven data-layer requirements. Translate solution design requirements into clear tagging specifications and implementation plans for web, mobile, and application experiences. Configure and enhance analytics tracking using Adobe Data Collection, Web SDK, Mobile SDK, and related tag-management capabilities. Integrate data from analytics, experimentation, campaign, and third‐party systems into a unified customer data environment. Develop and maintain custom JavaScript‐based tracking logic, extensions, tags, and plugins to support advanced measurement needs. Lead technical QA, debugging, release validation, and production deployment activities in Agile delivery environments. Use browser developer tools, network inspection tools, and analytics debuggers to troubleshoot tracking defects and data‐quality issues. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to analysts and developers while communicating implementation status, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders.
Required Qualifications: 10+ years of experience in digital analytics, data implementation, tagging, or marketing technology. Extensive hands‐on experience with Adobe Experience Platform and Adobe analytics implementation programs. Strong expertise in Customer Journey Analytics, including workspace configuration, journey analysis, pathing, cohorts, and insight development. Experience with Adobe Data Collection, Adobe Experience Platform Web SDK, Mobile SDK, and event‐driven data layers. Working knowledge of Adobe Experience Platform schemas, datasets, identities, data governance, and source integrations. Proven experience managing analytics implementations across multiple sites, applications, tags, and stakeholder groups. Advanced knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, JSON, DOM manipulation, and browser‐based debugging techniques. Experience writing and maintaining custom tracking scripts within tag‐management environments. Strong understanding of technical tagging, solution design documentation, QA processes, and release management. Demonstrated ability to lead cross‐functional delivery teams and communicate complex technical concepts to business audiences. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Analytics, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience implementing Adobe Real‐Time Customer Data Platform and Adobe Journey Optimizer. Experience with Adobe Target, including experimentation, personalization, and A/B testing implementations. Experience building or configuring dashboards in Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or similar business intelligence tools. Familiarity with BigQuery and data‐ingestion pipelines spanning online and offline data sources. Experience using Adobe I/O APIs and API tools such as Postman or Swagger. Working knowledge of Python, Node.js, CSS, cloud data platforms, and reporting automation. Exposure to machine learning concepts and modern customer‐data architecture.
Ideal Profile: You are equally comfortable shaping an enterprise measurement strategy and diagnosing a production tracking issue. You bring a practical, detail‐oriented approach to data quality, thrive in fast‐moving delivery environments, and can turn complex analytics requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
