About the role

Artly AI | Seattle, WA | Full-time | On-site Artly AI builds robots and the software that makes them useful in the real world. We are looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer who can independently build, ship, and operate reliable software—and who has clear evidence of using AI development tools to deliver substantial production systems. You will work across the stack on applications, services, data workflows, and tools that support our products and operations. We want to understand what you built, how it performed in production, which parts you personally owned, and how AI helped you deliver it. In your first 30 days, you will learn our architecture and operating workflow, reproduce local and deployment environments, and ship multiple small production improvements with tests and monitoring. Own features and systems from requirements and architecture through implementation, release, monitoring, and iteration. Build web applications, APIs, backend services, data workflows, integrations, and internal tools. Develop software that helps our team and operators manage real-world robotic systems and operations. Use AI coding assistants and agentic development tools to accelerate implementation, debugging, testing, documentation, and refactoring. Review generated changes and validate correctness, security, performance, and maintainability. Improve tests, CI/CD, observability, deployment and rollback procedures, reusable components, and documentation. Strong professional software development experience, typically five or more years, or equivalent evidence of exceptional independent delivery. Meaningful ownership of software used in production, including responsibility after launch. Strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills and experience building frontend applications with React. Strong backend development skills in Java and Spring Boot, including APIs, databases, authentication/authorization, integrations, and failure handling. Practical experience with automated tests, code review, cloud deployment, monitoring, and production debugging. Demonstrated use of AI development tools on substantial real codebases. Robotics, IoT, telemetry, device management, 3D simulation, data pipelines, AI/ML tooling, distributed systems, infrastructure automation, or broad product ownership in a small team.
Benefits: stock options; 10 paid holidays; and medical, dental, and vision coverage. Submit your résumé and a short description of one substantial production system you shipped using AI development tools. Explain what it does, how it is used, the components and decisions you personally owned, how you used AI, how you verified the code, and one concrete outcome. A sanitized description is sufficient for confidential work; We do not evaluate AI proficiency by lines of generated code or by the percentage of code written by a tool. Technical evaluation may include a sanitized prior-project walkthrough and a bounded repository exercise; AI tools are allowed and encouraged.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
