About the role
General Helpers Wanted We're looking for General Helpers to join our fast-paced, growing manufacturing plant in the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia. They will operate plant equipment and machinery involved in the production and conversion of corrugated material into finished products. Will train to become a Machine Operator. Starting pay $17.78+WHO YOU ARE: Possess a strong work ethic and a great attitude A reliable worker with a good attendance history Available to work all shifts -- 1st(7am-3pm), 2nd(3pm-11pm), and 3rd(11pm-7am) shifts Wants a strong and steady career Able to learn how to operate our computer-controlled machines Comfortable doing basic math calculations including fractions and decimals Willing to consent to a drug screen, physical, and background check Willing to work overtime as requiredBENEFITS: Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance Paid Vacation & Holidays Life Insurance Disability Insurance 401k with match Weekly Pay Shift Differential for 2nd and 3rd Shifts Job security with Union membershipPHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position requires standing for the duration of the work shift, usually up to 8 hours, occasionally up to 10 hours or longer Ability to walk from one end of the machine to the other frequently and to walk to other parts of the facility to retrieve supplies Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, and up to 20 pounds continuously (100-150 times per hour for up to 5-6 hours per shift).
