About the role
Sales Associate/Cashier A sales associate/cashier is responsible for processing customer purchases accurately and efficiently while providing excellent customer service. They handle cash, credit, and debit transactions, issue receipts, answer customer questions, and maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate and timely information regarding retail shop and cafe services.
- Utilize the elevated levels of sales and service to maximize sales performance.
- Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of the merchandise.
- Provide the highest level of customer service.
- Accurately handle all payments
- Complete opening/closing checklists according to standards
- Welcome guests, take or assist in taking guest orders, and collect payment for items ordered
- Must be able to work nights, holidays and weekends.
Required Skills:
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Basic math and cash-handling abilities.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Basic computer and point-of-sale (POS) system knowledge.
Reliability, honesty, and teamwork.
