About the role

ABOUT MOTORMATE GROUP MotorMate Group LLC is a licensed and bonded freight brokerage based in St. Petersburg, Florida. THE ROLE: You'll own the full cycle on your accounts: prospecting shippers, quoting, booking and covering loads, and keeping customers coming back. We provide the authority, insurance, back office, carrier payments, and billing. You bring the relationships and the hustle. Early agents will help shape how the division runs.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Develop and manage shipper accounts (FTL focus; LTL and flatbed welcome)
  • Quote, negotiate, and book freight; source and vet carriers
  • Track loads from pickup through delivery and resolve issues
  • Grow your book and help build the division's processes and tools WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • 2+ years in freight brokerage sales or as a freight agent
  • Existing shipper relationships or a proven track record of building a book
  • Comfortable with load boards (DAT, Truckstop) and a TMS
  • Self-directed and comfortable working remotely COMPENSATION This is a 100% commission, independent agent (1099) position.
  • 50% of gross margin on accounts you bring
  • 20% of gross margin on house-provided accounts

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
