How you'll contribute: Devises a treatment plan by means of computer and/or manual computation that will deliver the prescribed dose to a defined tumor volume in collaboration with the medical physicist. Performs dose calculations and assures complete, accurate, and timely recording of all data on all charts and forms. Instructs the technical staff in the implementation of the treatment plan. Assists in planning of compensating filters, custom shields, wedges, blocks, and other beam modifying devices in collaboration with the Medical Physicist. Assists in the selection and evaluation of purchase requests involving radioactive materials or radiation producing equipment. Maintains records of daily treatment and other records as required. Records charges accurately for procedures performed and submits charges in the Record & Verify system. Maintains storage areas with required supply levels and equipment. Observes radiation safety measures for patient and personnel.

What we're looking for
Education: Graduated from accredited program in Radiologic Technology
Licenses: Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) (within 6 months); ARRT (T) Radiation Therapy Registry (Preferred) Minimum Work Experience: 3 years as Medical Dosimetrist (Preferred) More about Highpoint Health – Sumner with Ascension Saint Thomas: Highpoint Health – Sumner with Ascension Saint Thomas, formerly Sumner Regional Medical Center, is a 167 bed Level III Trauma Center who has been providing quality health care to Gallatin, Hendersonville and the surrounding areas for 65 years.
