About the role

Job Description: We are looking for a dependable, organized, and hands-on individual to handle parcel drop shipments as part of our shipping team. We create and ship art to galleries and customers throughout the United States and internationally, and this position plays an important role in making sure each shipment leaves the Studio accurately, safely, and on schedule. This is not strictly a desk or administrative position. The role includes both organizational and physical responsibilities, including paperwork, preparing shipments, packaging, staging, and loading.
Responsibilities: Prepare and organize outgoing Fed Ex shipments. Verify that each shipment contains the correct items and is properly packaged before leaving the Studio. Prepare shipping paperwork, labels, tracking information, and related documentation. Maintain accurate shipping records and update shipment information in our internal systems. Communicate shipment status, tracking information, delays, or problems to the appropriate team members. Receive and document returns and make sure they are directed to the appropriate person for follow-up. Help troubleshoot shipping problems, damaged shipments, incorrect deliveries, and other issues as they arise. Help keep shipping and loading areas organized and prepared for upcoming shipments. Help monitor shipping supplies and communicate when materials need to be reordered.
What We Are Looking For: We are looking for someone who is: Organized and able to keep track of multiple shipments and deadlines at once. Detail-oriented, particularly when working with inventory, addresses, paperwork, and shipment information. Able to communicate clearly with coworkers, shipping companies, galleries, and other business contacts. Comfortable using computers, email, shipping software, and internal databases. Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. Hands-on and comfortable with the physical aspects of shipping. Experience with Fed Ex, freight carriers, bills of lading, inventory systems, and shipping is required.
Physical Requirements: This position requires regular movement throughout the Studio and shipping areas. Applicants should be comfortable standing, bending, reaching, and lifting.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
