About the role
Client:
Our client is a global retail organization seeking an experienced accounting leader to oversee financial reporting, inventory and cost accounting, tax compliance, and key accounting operations. This role reports to the VP of Accounting & Reporting, leads three direct reports, and works closely with the global finance organization. Why You’d Want To Work Here:

Key leadership position with direct reports and significant influence over financial operations Short Overview of Responsibilities:
Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes and consolidated U.S. GAAP financial reporting
Manage journal entries, reconciliations, general ledger analysis, reporting packages, and external audits
Oversee inventory and cost accounting, including PPV analysis, reserves, transfers, landed costs, and COGS analysis
Lead federal and state income tax coordination, sales and use tax compliance, tax provisions, and regulatory inquiries
Maintain strong internal controls and improve accounting policies, processes, and procedures
Serve as an accounting SME for new systems, technology implementations, and process improvements
Lead and develop the accounting team while partnering across the global finance organization You Should Apply If You Have:
6+ years of progressive accounting experience
Experience with a large CPA firm and/or a $300M+ revenue organization strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, month-end close, general ledger, cost accounting, inventory, and tax
Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
CPA preferred
Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills
