Injection Mold Specialist / Supervisor / Asst. ManagerThe Injection Mold Specialist / Supervisor / Asst. Manager is responsible for executing and overseeing daily injection molding operations, process controls, and machine setups to ensure parts are produced safely, efficiently, and to customer quality standards.- Perform and support the setup, start-up, and changeover of injection molding machines, molds, robots, and auxiliary equipment according to production schedules.- Monitor and maintain established injection molding process parameters, including temperature, pressure, speed, cooling time, and cycle time.- Identify and troubleshoot molding defects such as short shots, flash, sink marks, warpage, burn marks, and weld lines.- Ensure proper drying, blending, handling, and traceability of thermoplastic materials and regrind.- Coordinate with Maintenance and Tooling departments to resolve machine, robotic, hydraulic, electrical, and mold wear issues.- Maintain 5S standards and strictly adhere to all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and machine guarding.- Strong hands-on knowledge of injection molding processes, machines, molds, robotics, and auxiliary equipment.- Proven ability to troubleshoot common injection molding defects and optimize cycle times.- Solid understanding of thermoplastic materials, resin handling, and material controls.
