About the role

We are seeking an experienced Application Performance & Capacity Management Engineer to support enterprise infrastructure performance, capacity planning, forecasting, and optimization. The role will work across multiple projects and BAU activities, assessing performance and capacity impacts, developing forecasts, and providing recommendations to application and infrastructure teams.
Required Skills: Experience in Performance and Capacity Management for applications, systems, and infrastructure. Strong understanding of mid-range systems, hardware infrastructure, architecture, and disaster recovery. Experience with capacity analytics, forecasting, and modeling. Strong knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) and system/application performance improvement. Experience reviewing technical project documentation to identify performance and capacity impacts. Ability to analyze performance and saturation testing results and identify capacity thresholds and constraints. Strong communication skills with the ability to provide capacity reports and executive summaries to stakeholders. Understanding of Risk, Regulatory, and Information Security Management.
Key Responsibilities: Review technical projects and assess performance and capacity impacts on infrastructure. Provide performance and capacity consulting to project and support teams. Develop capacity forecasts, models, and analytics for impacted systems and infrastructure. Analyze saturation and performance testing results using tools such as AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Splunk, SAR/vmstat, application logs, and Performance Center. Identify performance bottlenecks, capacity thresholds, and infrastructure constraints. Partner with application, infrastructure, and support teams to recommend performance improvements. Provide regular capacity dashboards, reports, and executive summaries to stakeholders. Support capacity-related BAU, audit, risk, and regulatory requirements. Contribute to demand planning and BVI/demand data analysis. Support continuous improvement using ITSM and Agile methodologies.
Preferred Skills: Splunk data mining and analytics. AppDynamics / Dynatrace. Agile methodologies. Demand forecasting and BVI concepts. Performance testing and capacity planning. Strong stakeholder and consulting skills.
