Role Description:
The Production Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in the Omaha Metropolitan Area, responsible for overseeing daily production activities on the manufacturing floor. This role leads and coordinates production teams, assigns tasks, monitors workflow, and ensures adherence to production schedules and quality standards. The Production Supervisor collaborates with operations, quality assurance, and maintenance to resolve issues, minimize downtime, and maintain safe work practices. Daily tasks include tracking performance metrics, coaching team members, implementing production plans, and enforcing food safety and regulatory compliance. The role also supports process improvements, assists with training, and ensures that production targets are met in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
Qualifications:
Strong supervisory skills with experience leading production teams, providing coaching and feedback, and managing performance. Ability to interpret and manage production schedules, coordinate shift activities, and ensure timely completion of production runs. Experience in production planning, including resource allocation, staffing, and coordination with other departments. Effective communication skills to relay instructions, share updates with cross-functional teams, and document production activities. Background in production management, including monitoring KPIs, troubleshooting issues, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Knowledge of food manufacturing operations, including basic food safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and quality standards. Proven ability to work on-site in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with attention to safety and adherence to policies. High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in operations, engineering, or related field is an advantage. Previous experience as a production lead, supervisor, or similar role in manufacturing or food production strongly preferred.
