About the role

Our client, a highly regarded NYC real estate developer, is seeking a Director of Treasury to oversee day-to-day cash operations, banking relationships, and financial risk controls. This role focuses on optimizing liquidity, preventing fraud, and delivering actionable financial insights to executives.
Hybrid Schedule: WFH 1-2x per week
Responsibilities: Oversee a team of treasury and cash management professionals Handle and approve corporate money transfers, electronic payments, and banking templates securely Maintain tight internal controls over user access, payment limits, and anti-fraud protocols Design clear guidelines for cash processing that align with auditing requirements and legal regulations Build visual dashboards tracking available funds and partner with financial planning teams on long-term cash projections Track balances across multiple business entities to ensure sufficient daily funding and optimize corporate credit line usage Oversee banking portal configurations, corporate card programs, and credit line compliance Modernize financial workflows by identifying, testing, and rolling out new treasury software and automated tools Act as the primary contact for commercial banks, negotiate service fees, and evaluate partner performance
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field 5-10+ years of treasury or cash management experience Experience in the real estate and/or construction industry is required. Knowledge of corporate banking systems, fraud prevention, cash positioning, and multi-entity cash flows Strong analytical judgment, strict attention to detail, and the ability to work independently under tight deadlines Proven ability to translate complex financial data into concise recommendations for executive leadership
