Cosmetologist

Job Description: The ideal candidate must be passionate about the beauty industry, knowledgeable about modern hairstyling techniques, and committed to providing outstanding customer service. We are looking for a versatile cosmetologist who can confidently perform a variety of hair services while maintaining high professional standards.

Key Responsibilities: Perform professional women's haircuts, trims, and hairstyling. - Provide hair coloring services, including highlights, balayage, ombré, root touch-ups, and full-color applications. - Perform shampooing, blow-drying, silk presses, roller sets, and other styling services. - Install and maintain hair extensions, sew-ins, quick weaves, closures, frontals, and wigs. - Provide natural hair care, deep conditioning, and appropriate hair treatments. - Perform bridal hairstyles, special occasion styling, and formal updos. - Consult with clients to understand their preferences and recommend suitable hairstyles and treatments. - Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized workstation. - Follow Virginia cosmetology regulations and salon safety procedures. - Build positive client relationships and encourage repeat appointments. - Work cooperatively with other salon professionals.

Qualifications and Requirements: Valid Virginia Cosmetology License required. - Minimum of 1 2 years of professional salon experience preferred. - Strong knowledge of hair coloring, cutting, styling, and hair care techniques. - Experience working with different hair textures and types. - Experience with hair extensions and wig installations is highly desirable. - Excellent customer service and communication skills. - Reliable, punctual, professional, and detail-oriented. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively. - Willingness to learn new techniques and stay updated with beauty trends. - Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation. Additional Skills Are a Plus Candidates with experience in any of the following are especially encouraged to apply: - Haircut, Tinting - Bridal makeup and hairstyling - Eyebrow threading and tinting - Waxing and facial services - Advanced hair coloring techniques
