About the role

Overview Cap Tech seeks a Lead Machine Learning Engineer to architect and deliver enterprise-scale, data-driven ML solutions. You will lead cross-functional teams, translate client needs into ML models, and productionize scalable systems on cloud platforms. The role blends technical leadership with business development to grow Cap Tech’s ML/DS practices. You’ll work with clients across industries to drive measurable impact through advanced analytics and AI. Compensation / Benefits Learning & Development – certification and tuition support Flexible work environment Health coverage 401(k) Matching Paid time off Fringe – lifestyle benefits stipend Responsibilities Strategize with cross-functional teams to implement end-to-end ML solutions Provide technical leadership and ensure alignment with customer needs Convert client requirements into data-driven processes and analytical measures Analyze and transform large datasets on enterprise platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)Design, develop, and deploy advanced analytical solutions (recommender systems, NLP, risk scoring)Productionize ML systems focusing on optimization and scalability Grow ML/DS practices through client interactions, proposals, and leading junior teams Key requirements 7+ years delivering data engineering and ML solutions on cloud platforms Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Experience providing technical leadership and mentoring engineers in data engineering Hands-on experience with large multi-billion-record datasets Proficiency in Python, Scala, or similar languages Proficiency with SQL, Spark, NoSQL, and cloud data processing frameworks in production Experience with Docker and microservices Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, Azure SQL, Amazon RDSExperience building production-scale ML systems (personalization, NLP, CV)Knowledge of Dev Ops, statistics, model management/versioning Experience with LLMs in production, prompt engineering, MCP, RAG, agentic AI architectures Experience with Lang Chain, n 8n, pydantic, multi-agent orchestration Collaborative mindset with cross-functional teams Technical leadership and mentoring Excellent communication and client-facing presentation Python ScalaSQL
