About the role
Recovery Specialist The Recovery Specialist is responsible for mitigating Wings Credit Union credit losses, ensuring the accurate and timely completion of required documentation, and providing general administrative support to the Department.
Essential Functions:
- Uphold and serve as subject matter expert of all Federal regulations pertinent to Negative Shares (Reg D, Reg CC, Reg E, OFAC, SAR, Right to Privacy), as well as industry rules (NACHA) and credit union policy.
- Monitor and process Negative Share transactions, including account setup, communications and terminating privileges as appropriate.
- Develop and complete reporting to monitor Negative Shares.
- Identify and support Member Credit Solutions Department processes improvements and innovations. Serve as a liaison between the Department and Wings Legal, Fraud Intelligence and Compliance Departments.
- Process Chex System disputes timely and accurately.
- Bank Secrecy Act: Remains cognizant of and adheres to Wings policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act.
- Minimum Formal Qualifications for this Position:
- High School Diploma/G.E.D. required 1+ years of equivalent work experience preferred
- Technical or Specialized Knowledge/Skills:
- Entry level knowledge of applicable bankruptcy laws and regulations.
- Working knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Office and collections software and databases.
- Extreme attention to detail.
- Multi-mode communication skills including oral, written, email, and instant messaging.
- Ability and desire to maintain quality of service while performing multiple tasks.
- Member Focused: Proven ability to build strong member relationships and delivering member-centric solutions.
- Collaborates: Known for building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.

PAY RANGE:
$20 to $24 (S10), plus 3% annual target bonus. Final compensation for this position will be determined by various factors such as relevant work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, certifications, location and internal pay equity.
