About the role

About Alkali Founded in 2015, Alkali helps established B2B organizations make the most of their online presence, covering the strategy, the design and the execution across web and marketing. We spend the time to understand each organization's goals so we can help get them there.
The Role: You own the conversation from the moment a prospect engages through to a booked call. You are the first person they speak with and the one who works out whether their problem is one we can solve. Day to day this means: Responding to interested replies with speed Qualifying against a defined profile: what they make, who buys from them, what is actually broken in how buyers find them Running the back and forth by email, Linked In and phone until the conversation reaches a decision Getting the meeting booked, confirmed and attended Keeping the record clean so we can see what is and isn't working
Minimum Requirements: Two to four years in B2B sales development, ideally outbound rather than inbound only Comfortable on the phone with the owner of a 10-person fabrication shop and equally comfortable with the marketing director at a 200-person manufacturer Organized enough that nothing sits unanswered, because the cost of a slow reply here is a lost deal rather than a missed metric Willing to run somebody else's playbook Helpful but not required: experience selling to manufacturers or industrial companies, familiarity with Smartlead or Close CRM.How we work The strategy is set, and it needs to be executed consistently, because that is the only way to judge what is working. That doesn't mean it can't change. We are quick to give feedback and we expect it to be implemented. We are equally quick to act on the feedback you give us. If you need something to do the job properly, we will get it to you quickly. What this is not Not a strategy role. Not a floor of twenty reps with a manager watching a dashboard. This is hands-on work with a defined process and real ownership of the conversations you are handed. Compensation and structure This is a contract role. $6,500 to $7,900 per month depending on experience, plus a performance component. Remote, United States time zones, around 40 hours a week.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
