Director, Commerce & Biddable Media Overview The Director, Commerce & Biddable Media is a seasoned media leader responsible for overseeing strategy, planning, execution, and performance across a portfolio of retail media, commerce, and biddable media programs. This role serves as a strategic partner to clients, leads a high-performing team, drives innovation across platforms, and collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver measurable business outcomes while supporting business growth initiatives.
What You’ll Do: Lead the Commerce & Biddable Media team in planning, activation, optimization, and management of client campaigns. Develop and defend strategic media recommendations that align with client objectives and business goals. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, platform partners, and key stakeholders. Identify emerging trends, technologies, and best practices to drive innovation and performance. Partner with analytics teams to measure and communicate campaign impact and business results. Oversee budgets, campaign delivery, invoicing, and billing reconciliation processes. Contribute to new business pitches and growth opportunities. Drive process improvements, operational excellence, and quality standards across the media practice.
Leadership Responsibilities: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Associate Directors, Managers, and Coordinators. Provide coaching, performance feedback, and career development support. Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team culture. Establish departmental processes, procedures, and best practices.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree preferred.8+ years of experience in retail media, RMN, commerce media, biddable media, media planning, and campaign management. Experience leading high-performing media teams and managing client relationships. Deep knowledge of platforms including Walmart Connect, Roundel, Instacart, The Trade Desk, Viant, Skai, Pacvue, CM360, GA4, and GA360.Strong analytical, presentation, communication, and negotiation skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
Work Environment: Remote position with occasional travel for client meetings, team meetings, and business events. Primarily computer-based work environment. Frequent collaboration with internal and external teams across multiple time zones.
