About the Role:
Fundraising Brick helps organizations bring their fundraising and donor recognition projects to life through engraved brick campaigns. We are looking for a friendly, proactive, and organized Sales and Marketing Assistant to support customer communication, sales follow-up, and campaign marketing materials. This entry-level role is a great opportunity for someone with early sales or marketing experience who enjoys connecting with people, creating polished materials, and keeping projects moving. You will work closely with our sales lead and owner, as well as our account manager.
Responsibilities:
Follow up with sales leads by email through our CRM database, keeping contact records, communication notes, and next steps accurate and up to date.
Assist in managing marketing automation tools and CRM systems to streamline outreach efforts, nurture leads, and optimize demand generation marketing strategies.
Answer incoming phone calls with a friendly, professional approach and direct inquiries to the appropriate team member.
Schedule meetings for our sales lead and owner or our account manager, and coordinate appointment details with customers.
Prepare and send follow-up materials after sales calls, including fundraising forecasts and presentation decks featuring comparable projects organized by organization type.
Create campaign marketing toolkits in Canva, including posters and manual order forms.
Create compelling content for websites, blogs, social media platforms, and other marketing materials by applying strong copywriting and content writing skills.
Conduct research on industry trends, target audiences, and competitors to inform marketing strategies and improve campaign effectiveness.
Proofread customer communications, presentations, and marketing materials for accuracy, clarity, and consistent formatting.
Collaborate cross-functionally with leadership, sales, account management, and production.
Prioritize daily tasks, track follow-up commitments, and meet customer and internal deadlines.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required.
Associate degree or higher preferred.1–2 years of sales or marketing experience through internships, employment, or a combination of both.
Experience using PowerPoint, Google Workspace (Google Suite), and Canva, with examples of presentations, documents, or designs you have created.
A personable, friendly manner and clear written and verbal communication skills.
Comfort speaking with customers on the phone and communicating professionally by email.
A proactive approach: takes initiative, anticipates follow-up needs, and keeps tasks moving without frequent reminders.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to prioritize competing tasks and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in Canva and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) for basic graphic design tasks.
Excellent copywriting skills with the ability to craft engaging content tailored for diverse audiences.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams while managing multiple projects efficiently.
Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail; capable of planning marketing projects efficiently.
Willingness to learn our CRM, campaign processes, and products.
Reliable transportation and the ability to consistently work the scheduled hours.
