About the role

Calling all Newton area volunteers! Community Cooks is looking for new volunteers to cook ONE DISH, ONCE A MONTH to help nourish neighbors. Volunteers needed ASAP to cook one dish each that serves 10-12 people. Volunteers should be able to deliver to Newton Corner Place (276 Church Street Newton, MA 02458) one Thursday per month between 8:30 and 11:30am. Community Cooks is also seeking volunteers in other areas for other partner organizations. Newton Corner Place (NCP) is a single-room occupancy residence for adult men that is located on the top floor of the West Suburban YMCA. All of the residents were formerly homeless and some have lived at NCP for 20 years. Community Cooks supports NCP by providing them with nourishing meals based on resident's needs and preferences.
