About the role

Clerical Assistant Assist with all clerical responsibilities assigned by the CEO and provide administrative support to senior management team. Essential Functions & Responsibilities: Provides confidential administrative support to members of management and staff. Screens incoming mail, publications, and other correspondence. Oversees Credit Union facilities which include; supplies, inventory control, courier services, and mail/postal services (internal and external), package deliveries and shipments. Assist in the planning and coordination of staff/credit union events. Composes letters and reports from verbal direction, written documents and files; edits written communications from word processing documents and excel spreadsheets. Performs other job related duties as assigned. Performance Measurements: To provide timely, accurate, professional and confidential administrative support. To keep CEO informed regarding key operating issues affecting the department and facility management. To meet required time deadlines for mail/correspondence distribution and calendar updates. To maintain a professional work environment and business like appearance. To provide informed, professional assistance to others in the Credit Union as requested.
Knowledge and Skills
Experience: One month to twelve months of similar or related experience.
Education: A high school education or GED.Interpersonal Skills: Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication. Other Skills: Excellent organizational and editing skills; typing skills at or above the 75 percentile in speed and 90th percentile in accuracy; proficient with spreadsheets; shorthand a plus.
