6-12+ Month Contract Remote - (CST or EST time zones) Our client is looking to add an IT Business Analyst that will be working with stakeholders across business and technical teams to discover and document requirements and successfully participate and lead projects through their respective life cycles. The Business Analyst will also be responsible for defining and documenting the current state of applications, including system functionality, data flows, and business processes to provide a clear baseline for future enhancements.
Responsibilities:
- Elicit, analyze and document clear, comprehensive business requirements to support project and general enhancement requests
- Define and document current state of applications and their integrated systems, including process flows, system interactions, and data dependencies
- Translate technical specifications into robust business documentation, ensuring business logic, rules and dependencies are well understood and traceable
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, and QA teams to validate requirements and ensure alignment between business needs and technical solutions
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of system processes, integrations, and requirements to support knowledge transfer and future-state planning
- Support impact analysis for application changes by assessing dependencies across applications, data, and processes
- Partner with business and technical teams to clarify requirements, resolve gaps and ensure accuracy of delivered solutions

Qualifications:
- 7+ years of prior experience in a Business Analyst role.
- BA / BS in IT, statistics, computer science, mathematics, information management, business or a related field or equivalent experience.
- Prefer someone who has AI experience, also has experience with data mapping and migration projects.
- Must have experience as an Analyst for large complex projects and financial experience working with Commissions and Premiums
- Experience working within the Ancillary or Insurance industry is a plus.
- Interpersonal communication skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team with both the Business and technology staff.
- Skilled at defining and documenting business and functional requirements for ongoing system enhancement initiatives in agile software development environments.
- Experience writing clear acceptance criteria to a testable level.
- Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
- Microsoft Office experience: Word for documentation, Excel for data handling, Visio for process explanation, PowerPoint for presentation and Outlook for email.
The anticipated hourly rate range for this position is ($54-$57/hr). Actual hourly rate will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law. A range of medical, dental, retirement and/or other benefits are available after a waiting period.
