About the Opportunity: A prestigious global professional services firm is seeking a People Development Manager to join its Learning & Development team. This highly visible role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and facilitating innovative learning programs for attorneys and business services professionals across a global organization. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of attorney development, instructional design, facilitation, stakeholder management, and learning strategy experience. This individual will partner with firm leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to create impactful learning experiences that enhance professional, leadership, and technical capabilities while supporting organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities: Learning Strategy, Curriculum Design & Innovation Design and implement innovative learning solutions for attorneys and business professionals. Develop professional skills, leadership, management, and career development curricula. Leverage adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and emerging learning technologies. Create and enhance self-study, digital, and technology-enabled learning solutions. Assess learning needs and translate business objectives into impactful training programs. Support the development of attorney learning pathways and structured curricula. Facilitation & Program Delivery Facilitate engaging in-person and virtual workshops, training programs, and development initiatives. Deliver content focused on: Leadership development Executive presence Communication and presentation skills Feedback and coaching Career development Delegation and management effectiveness Professionalism and relationship building Adapt delivery methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and professional levels. Stakeholder Engagement Partner with attorneys, business leaders, HR, technology teams, marketing, communications, and other key stakeholders. Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop and refine content. Communicate program outcomes, recommendations, and learning trends. Influence and build relationships across a global organization. Program Management & Continuous Improvement Oversee program development from needs assessment through launch, evaluation, and integration. Monitor participant engagement and analyze program effectiveness. Incorporate feedback and learning metrics to continuously improve offerings. Manage learning resources, platforms, and internal learning communications. Analytics & Reporting Track and report on key learning metrics and program effectiveness. Analyze engagement, participation, and ROI data. Partner with HRIS and reporting teams to support decision-making through actionable insights. Develop recommendations for program enhancements based on data and feedback.
Qualifications
Required Experience: 7+ years of experience in Learning & Development, Professional Development, Talent Development, or Instructional Design. Demonstrated experience designing, developing, and facilitating learning programs. Experience creating and delivering professional development programs for attorneys or legal professionals. Strong understanding of adult learning theory and instructional design principles. Experience partnering directly with senior stakeholders and business leaders. Proven program management and project leadership capabilities. Experience utilizing learning technologies, virtual learning tools, and digital learning platforms. Strong analytical skills with experience measuring learning effectiveness and program outcomes. For immediate consideration, candidates should have a strong background in attorney development, professional development, learning strategy, curriculum design, and facilitation within a law firm, consulting, or financial services environment.
