Doctor of Medicine | Pediatrics - General/Other Location: Phoenix, AZ Employer: Curative Pay: $220 to $225 per hour Shift Information: 5 days x 8 hours Start Date: ASAP About the Position Pediatric Emergency Medicine locums coverage in Arizona across a multi site pediatric ED group, with 8 hour shifts spanning days, evenings, and nights and no call requirement. Highlights No call requirement. Coverage need runs long term, supporting continuity if you want ongoing shifts. Work across up to 4 ED sites, typically assigned to 2 or 3 sites to keep geography manageable. Mix of high volume pediatric EDs plus a newer site ramping up volume. Practice Setting Pediatric Emergency Medicine coverage, 100 percent pediatrics. Multi site ED coverage, including the state's only Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center at Thomas ED, with Arrowhead and Avondale as Level 4. Annual ED volumes, Thomas 75k, Arrowhead 30k, Avondale 55k, Mercy Gilbert expected 20k in year one. Vacancy driver is satellite hospital expansion. Schedule 8 hour PEM shifts. Shift mix includes days, evenings, and nights. No call. Coverage window is April 2027 through June 2028. Cases and Procedures Management of critically ill neonates, including neurologic, surgical, cardiac, and complex multisystem conditions. Endotracheal intubation. Umbilical venous catheter placement, umbilical arterial catheter placement, peripheral arterial line or stick. Lumbar puncture and chest tube placement.
