Hands-on experience with plating processes (e.g., nickel, cadmium, zinc, chromium, anodizing, or conversion coatings). Familiarity with NADCAP requirements and aerospace/defense plating specifications is preferred. Minimum 3+ years of experience in electroplating, anodizing, or aerospace chemical processing. Experience with NADCAP AC7108 audits and compliance is strongly preferred. Familiarity with AS9100 quality systems and AMS/MIL specifications is required.
Skills: Strong analytical chemistry background (wet chemistry, titration, HACH spectroscopy, Atomic Absorption Spectrometer, X-Ray Machine coating thickness and material analysis ). Knowledge of plating equipment, rectifiers, and solution maintenance. Ability to interpret technical specifications and quality requirements. Proficiency in documentation, data analysis, and report writing. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Experience preparing for and supporting NADCAP audits. Ability to interpret and apply AMS, MIL, ASTM, and OEM specifications. The key responsibilities of the Electroplating Chemist include: Process Control & Maintenance: Perform routine chemical analysis (e.g., titrations, pH, conductivity, spectroscopy) of plating baths, rinses, and associated solutions. Monitor, adjust, and document bath chemistries to ensure compliance with specifications. Maintain chemical records and ensure traceability per NADCAP/AS9100 requirements. Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Provide day-to-day technical support for production plating operations. Investigate and resolve plating defects, adhesion failures, and thickness variations. Support root cause analysis and implement corrective actions. Compliance & Quality: Ensure plating processes meet industry and customer specifications (e.g., AMS, MIL, ASTM standards). Support internal and external audits (NADCAP, ISO, AS9100, customer). Develop and maintain control plans, work instructions, and lab procedures. Research & Development: Evaluate new plating chemistries, additives, and technologies. Support process improvement projects to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve sustainability. Collaborate with engineering on new product introduction and special customer requests. Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
