The Opportunity: Join a company in the water, waste, steam, and air conditioning services industry delivering critical systems and infrastructure. This on-site role leads quality control for water treatment construction, including piping installation and related field work. You will partner with site leadership, contractors, and inspectors to uphold project quality, safety, and schedule requirements.
Responsibilities: Lead on-site quality control activities and maintain project quality records and documentation. Coordinate third-party inspections, provide required documentation, and ensure inspection areas are ready. Work with subcontractors and suppliers to address quality issues and support inspection readiness. Review P&IDs, piping drawings, specifications, and field conditions to verify installation compliance. Monitor construction progress against schedules and coordinate corrective actions with contractors. Communicate quality requirements and project issues with clients, site managers, and project partners. Prepare weekly reports covering progress, quality issues, and corrective actions. Coordinate site facilities, safety equipment, and equipment deliveries in line with project and regulatory requirements. Must-
Have Skills: At least three years of construction quality control, inspection, or quality management experience, including field oversight. Knowledge of construction quality assurance, inspection and testing, non-conformance management, corrective actions, and quality documentation. Working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems and quality control procedures. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, P&IDs, inspection and test plans, and field conditions. Experience coordinating inspections, testing, NCRs, corrective actions, and construction quality records. OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification and a valid driver’s license. Knowledge of applicable construction codes and standards, including ASME B31.3.Strong communication, planning, problem-solving, technical writing, and contractor coordination skills.
Nice-to-Have
Skills: Experience with water treatment systems, industrial facilities, semiconductor projects, or large-scale piping installations. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or applicable ASNT Level II non-destructive testing certification. USACE Construction Quality Management for Contractors certification. OSHA 510, ICC Inspector, Certified Quality Engineer, or ISO 9001 Internal Auditor certification. Experience with plastic piping, quality management software, digital inspection platforms, or document control systems. Familiarity with NFPA 70, NFPA 54, IBC Chapter 17, and specialized safety training such as HAZWOPER or NFPA 70E.
