Salary: $130K/yr We are NuHealth! We want to make culturally sensitive health care more affordable and more accessible here on Long Island. Located in Uniondale, NY, A. Holly Patterson is the only public skilled nursing facility in Nassau County. We are honored to work in the home of our 400 residents. We are seeking a well-qualified HR Manager with a strong Employee Relations background to work onsite in our Human Resources department. Reporting to the Director, this position will handle a variety of mid-level Human Resources functions with a strong emphasis on employee relations. In this position, you will: Supervise, coach and provide feedback to direct reports; manage performance and ensure accountability. Provide coaching and consultation to staff and managers for conflict resolution. Coach supervisors on handling and documenting sensitive issues e.g.: performance concerns, including performance improvement plans, disciplinary actions and the separation process. Ensure compliance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) and work with the Director of Labor to Conduct internal investigations investigate grievances to address employee issues and grievances promptly. Coordinate with Nassau County Civil Service to recruit employees Other HR Generalist duties as needed. We seek a candidate with a history of proven success in the duties listed above. This job requires extreme confidentiality and professionalism and strong skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point).
Required Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Human Resources, Public or Business Administration, Hospital or Health Care Administration, or Psychology from a regionally accredited or NYS registered college or University and four years of administrative experience in Human Resources, including one year in a health-related facility; OrBachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Public or Business Administration, Hospital or Health Care Administration, or Psychology from a regionally accredited or NYS registered college or University and five years of administrative experience in Human Resources, including one year in a health related facility; OrBachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited or NYS registered college or University and six years of administrative experience in Human Resources, including one year in a health-related facility;
NOTE: Demonstrated supervisory or management experience, including the ability to lead, coach, and manage the performance of direct reports. One additional year of general administrative experience in Human Resources beyond the noted requirements may substitute for the one-year requirement in a health-related facility.
